This week I'm going to delete a lot of the entries in my LiveJournal.

The only ones I'm going to keep are those (if any) that hold some meaning to me.

And I'll probably post in here less than I have of late.

Bah [Dec. 23rd, 2005|01:43 pm]
[I'm Feeling | gloomy]

Why is it that I complete don't care about Christmas this year?

I mean, I'm grateful for the vacation and everything....but I'd rather sleep and play video games. Usually I'm so excited for Christmas, but this year I'm just not feeling it. It's such a bother to go out, just to battle crazy shoppers for gifts.

The only gift I'm excited about giving is George's. I hope he likes what I got him. Other than that, I have no interest in wrapping gifts...or giving them...or even receiving them.

Merry Fucking Christmas [Dec. 23rd, 2005|12:43 am]
[I'm Feeling | indescribable]

So it's two days before Christmas and all through the house......

1. My favorite uncle had a brain aneurysm today. He needs emergency surgery and has been moved from Cape Canaveral hospital in Cocoa, Florida to Jacksonville. My uncle in Alabama and my aunt from here in MI are on their way down. Please pray that I don't have to fly down at short notice. Needless to say, my cell phone will never leave my side.

2. The New Year's Eve party is officially off. I am so fucking pissed and I am never planning another one again. Everyone has jumped ship because they think my party is going to be boring. And never mind the fact that no one had the fucking balls to tell me directly...they told George. So don't call me the next time you have a party.

So have fun at Dave and Buster's spending more money than you have on drinks. I'm sorry that I don't find it fun to be in a place filled to capacity. Plus, I like my money and I can think of better things to do with it. Plus plus, either me or George wouldn't be able to drink because one of us would have to drive home.

3. Also this year I've come to another conclusion. The only person I'm buying gifts (birthday, Xmas, etc) for, besides my family, is George. I'm sick of buying people shit and never getting anything in return. Don't get me wrong, I'm not intending to be petty, but it's frustrating. I spend time, money, and effort into getting a gift and then I get blown off. But I do want to thank the one friend that I bought a birthday present for who actually had the very kind thought of giving me one in return. Thank you!

Merry Christmas.

The principle Paul called me at 630pm and offered me the job!

Now I have to call the assistant superintendent and set up a meeting with her. And you bet your ass I'll be doing that tomorrow. :)

I know already that I'll be teaching a section of Calculus.

So why am I so nervous???

Finally An Update [Sep. 8th, 2005|09:21 am]
[I'm Feeling | thoughtful]
[Tunes |Jason Mraz - Life is Wonderful]

Wow, what a summer. And I don't say that with the enthusiasm that you'd think I would. It's a "wow" that comes after careful reflection.

Things have sure changed around here.

But first, Friday is my 1 year anniversary with George. I love him so much. He's the best thing that ever happened to me. And that's all I have to say about that. :)

So I've finished student teaching, but I can't get a real job yet because Wayne State is a smelly donkey ball. However, I've only got 5 more classes until I get that Master's Degree. I'm not taking a class this fall, but I'll have to take one in the Winter term to keep my loans deffered.

Student teaching (along with this summer) sure did change some relationships for me. And I've come to some important conclusions. One, some people only think I'm cool when they need me to do something for them. For some people, they won't even talk to me unless they need something from me.

Case in point. There's a tie that I don't even feel interested in keeping anymore. Don't get me wrong, for the last 9 years, this person has done more for me than anyone in my family ever has. But student teaching hit it hard. As George and everyone knows, student teaching was hell. I never saw anyone. I was working 50+ hours a week and then still had to check papers and prep when I was finally at home.

My friend didn't seem to understand that. Every time I would talk to her on the phone I'd have to listen for 10 minutes about how I never come over or how I never call and talk to her for hours. Even after explaining that I literally did not have the time, she still would berate me. During the two busiest weeks of the program, she wanted me to find time to drive all the way out to her house (it would take me about 30 mins to drive there) and fix her fucking VCR.

Again, it's back to the "what can I do for you today" syndrome. Also, lately, whenever we would plan on getting together to catch up, it would have to be on her terms. I had to go where she wanted me to go, when she wanted me to go there. And then, she'd never be on time. I'd end up waiting at her house (or wherever) for 30 mins, 1 hour for her to finish up whatever freaking thing she was doing. It's not like she knew I was coming, you know.

I'm kinda sorry that I wasted time and money getting her a gift when I went on my cruise back in May. Isn' that sad? I never thought I'd say that.

Am I totally blameless? No. I could have done more. Did I want to? No. Because I knew what I would be met with. When all you're hit with is negativity, it's hard to pick up the phone.

How's it going now? Well it's been a month and a half since we've talked. That tell you anything?

Well, time for me to get ready for work. Later.

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaack [Aug. 6th, 2005|06:53 pm]
[I'm Feeling | cheerful]
[Tunes |Life is Wonderful - Jason Mraz]

Hello again everybody! No I didn't die, contrary to popular belief.

VIDEO GAME PARTY TONIGHT AT GEORGE'S HOUSE. Be there or be lame.

So here's some random thoughts/updates about the world:

1. I have finished student teaching!! Yay! I did student teaching for 6 crazy weeks at Cranbrook out in Bloomfield Hills. I had to take a leave from my job, so for 6 weeks I had no money coming in. That sucked. Now, as soon as Wayne State gets off their lazy ass and gets my paperwork done, I can go get a real job.

2. Speaking of the work thing - I went back to my job on Friday after 7 weeks of not being there. And I've come to the conclusion that I still hate that place.

3. George got a new car! Yes, it's very cool. However, I think he loves that thing more than he loves me! ;)

4. Hi Jill! Hi Mindy!!

5. I made George go with me at midnight on July 16 to get the new Harry Potter book. I'm disappointed that it took me a whole week to read it. :( Yes, it was excellent and I can't wait until the 7th (and last) book to see how it all ends!

6. I'm obsessed with Pikmin (1 and 2) for Gamecube.

7. 5 words: I want a fucking iPod. The 60GB one.

8. Speaking of school - Did everyone hear about the 18.5% tuition rate increase Wayne State decided on? Cock suckers.

9. My cousin in Florida is getting married next year! And I'm a bridesmaid! Wanna see the dress I have to wear?? Check it out here We're ordering them in Celadon. :)

Well, that's about it for now. I'll be back later. :)

PSP Tales [Jun. 13th, 2005|10:58 am]
[I'm Feeling | sick]

So George got a PSP. :) And I've been playing it.

In fact, I'm playing Untold Legends.

Since this is the first PSP game that I've played for any great deal of time, here's a review of it:

The Good
1. Yes, the graphics are incredible.
2. The sound is surprisingly good for a handheld.
3. The little mini analog stick works pretty good.

The Bad
1. The game consists of this: Go into an area, kill bad guys before they kill you, go into an area, kill bad guys before they kill you, go into an area, kill bad guys before they kill you. Notice a pattern?
2. The game takes FOREVER AND FOREVER to load. This is the one thing that ticked me off a little. For $250, it should load faster.
3. Due to #1, the game gets extremely repetative after awhile. There's no puzzles to solve like in God of War, and I don't even think that it's as exciting as Baldur's Gate. Come on, I I'm beating it! How hard can it be?
4. The bosses are way too easy.

Random Update [May. 13th, 2005|11:26 am]
[I'm Feeling | accomplished]

Yep, there's no rhyme or reason to my updates anymore. They just kinda happen whenever I feel like sitting down long enough.

The Good News:
1. I got accepted for the summer student teaching position at Cranbrook! Yep, I rock.
2. My first vacation in more than 6 years is in 15 days! This cruise is gonna be so awesome.
3. I've got George. What better news can there be?!
4. I won't be able to work much this summer because of that teaching thing. But who cares, I hate my job anyway.

The Bad News:
1. WTF? There ain't no bad news! Rock on homies!

And a new feature here: Albums you need to listen to!

Today's selections:
1. Lost and Gone Forever by Guster
2. Louder Than Bombs by The Smiths
3. Employment by Kasier Chiefs

Also, some notes: Rob Thomas's new Cd. Yes it's pretty good. I like it. You have to remember though that it's not a new Matchbox Twenty cd. If you can keep that separate, then I recommend a listen. :)

Grrr [Apr. 7th, 2005|12:20 pm]
[I'm Feeling | annoyed]

So I'm supposed to work from 1-845pm today. I also had a girl that I was supposed to private tutor from 1030-1130. It was gonna make for a long day, but for $20 an hour, I was willing to do it.

So I wake up early and get to work. What what happens?? Mike at the desk tells me that my private student called in with car trouble and wants to meet later in the day....which I can't....because I'm working.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It's bad enough that I've gotta work on Friday and all day Saturday. :(

Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch [Mar. 6th, 2005|06:02 pm]
[I'm Feeling | sore]
[Tunes |Bird Stealing Bread - Iron & Wine]

So George and I went up north this weekend to my mom and mike's place to chill and go snowmobiling.

We had a great time. Correction: George had a great time. :) I got hurt and thought I broke something. Here's what happened....

Before you go snowmobiling, you need to have a crash course in how the damn thing works and how you drive it. Well, in my course, Mike forgot to mention what you're supposed to do when you have to go down a cliff.

Well, our leader forgot that George and I were beginners and took us down a small cliff. I got thrown forward and the windshield struck me kinda hard in the throat and the steering thingy hit me in the stomach. For about 10 seconds I thought I broke something because I couldn't breathe. The bad thing was I then had to drive my snowmobile back to the house.

So I got back home and went to lay down. When I woke up, my throat hurt so bad! And that was nothing compared to how I felt this morning when I woke up!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [Feb. 4th, 2005|04:57 pm]
[I'm Feeling | ecstatic]

I PASSED MY STATE CERTIFICATION TESTS!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got 262/300 on Secondary Mathematics and 223/300 on History. A passing mark is 220. So I barely made that history test! But that math score isn't bad for not studying!

Yeah, I was a tad late in posting these pics. These are the pics from the Canadian trip for my 25th birthday back in November. Enjoy! I'm gonna describe the pics because not everyone I know knows who everyone is!

Yo shorty, it's your birthday... )
